Every system in the range is shaped for a particular part of the horse, and the right choice depends less on the brand or the price than on where the problem sits and how many horses will use it. This guide asks four questions and suggests a system, a routine and a way to start. It takes about a minute, and nothing here replaces the advice of your vet.

Wrap72Wrap108Stifle WrapPadSheet
Wrap72 sits closely over one part of the neck or poll at a time, which suits a single sore point rather than the whole length of the neck.
Wrap72 covers one shoulder or one side of the chest per placement, so it works well when the problem is on one side.
Wrap72 treats one section of the back at a time and is the practical choice when a single spot along the topline needs attention.
Wrap72 is made for a single joint or tendon and wraps closely around the leg where the problem sits.
Wrap72 can be moved between areas, though each placement covers a small section, so sessions take longer than with a larger system.
Wrap108 covers a larger section of the neck in one placement and delivers more light than Wrap72 across the same session.
Wrap108 covers the shoulder and upper chest in one placement, with more light than Wrap72 for the same session length.
Wrap108 covers a wider section of the back in one placement, which suits soreness that spreads beyond a single point.
Wrap108 wraps around the leg with more light than Wrap72, which suits a larger joint such as the hock or knee.
Wrap108 is the most flexible of the wraps, with enough coverage to move between areas without extending each session.
The Stifle Wrap is shaped to fit the stifle and is the only system in the range that stays in place there.
The Stifle Wrap also fits the shoulder and chest, which makes it a sensible choice if the stifles are part of the picture too.
The Stifle Wrap can be placed over the withers and back, which makes it a reasonable choice if the stifles also need attention.
The Stifle Wrap reaches the stifles, shoulders and back, which covers more of the horse than the name suggests.
The Pad reaches the neck in a single placement and can then be moved to the back, which suits a horse that needs more than one area covered.
The Pad covers both shoulders and the chest in one placement, so there is no need to reposition between sides.
The Pad covers the topline from withers to croup in a single placement, which makes it the most efficient system for the back.
The Pad covers the topline, neck and shoulders and moves easily between horses, which suits a routine that involves more than one animal.
The Sheet is the only system that reaches the hindquarters, and it covers the topline at the same time.
The Sheet covers the entire topline and hindquarters in one placement, which suits a horse that needs the whole back treated.
The Sheet covers more of the horse than any other system, from withers to hindquarters, in a single placement.
Suggested routine
Two to three sessions a day of five to ten minutes each, with at least ninety minutes between sessions. If the horse is under veterinary care, agree the routine with your vet first.
One session a day of five to ten minutes, before work or after, is enough for ongoing support. Consistency matters more than session length.
Rental is available within the EU. No deposit, no minimum period. Up to three months of rental is credited toward a purchase.
Sheet is sold outright. Pad is the closest system available for rental.

Wrap108 gives more light and wider coverage for a little more each month.
The Stifle Wrap is worth adding if the stifles are also part of the picture.
The Pad makes sense if the topline or a second horse becomes part of the routine.
The Sheet is the only system that reaches the hindquarters and is available to buy outright.
Wrap108 covers the neck, shoulders, back and legs if you also want to work elsewhere on the horse.
The Pad covers the topline from withers to croup and is the closest system available for rental.

Which system fits where
Each area of the horse suits a different system. The list below shows what fits where, which system is the usual pick, and the routine that suits the situation.
Neck and poll
The neck and poll run from behind the ears to the base of the neck, including the crest and the muscles along either side.
Fits here:Wrap72, Wrap108, Pad, Sheet. Usual pick:Wrap108, or the Pad when more than one horse or more than one area is involved.
Chest and shoulders
The chest and shoulders cover the front of the horse from the point of the shoulder across the chest, including the shoulder blade and the muscles around it.
Fits here:Wrap72, Wrap108, Stifle Wrap, Pad. Usual pick:Wrap108, or Wrap72 when the problem sits on one side.
Topline (withers, back, loin, croup)
The topline runs from the withers along the back and loin to the croup.
Fits here:Wrap72, Wrap108, Stifle Wrap, Pad, Sheet. Usual pick: the Pad, which covers withers to croup in a single placement.
Hindquarters
The hindquarters are the muscled hind end below the croup, which no wrap-sized system can reach.
Fits here:Sheet. Usual pick: the Sheet, the only system that reaches the hindquarters, covering the topline at the same time.
Stifles
The stifle is the large joint at the top of the hind leg, positioned where a standard wrap cannot be secured.
Fits here:Stifle Wrap. Usual pick: the Stifle Wrap, shaped to fit the stifle and the only system in the range that stays in place there.
Legs (a joint or tendon)
Legs covers a single joint or tendon on a front or hind leg, from the knee or hock down to the fetlock.
Fits here:Wrap72, Wrap108. Usual pick:Wrap72, with Wrap108 for a larger joint such as the hock or knee.
How often to treat
For soreness in one spot, or rehab following a vet's assessment, the routine is two to three sessions a day of five to ten minutes each, with at least ninety minutes between sessions. If the horse is under veterinary care, agree the routine with your vet first. For stiffness, slower recovery or general upkeep, one session a day of five to ten minutes is enough for ongoing support, and consistency matters more than session length.
