Before using your LED Treatment System from LED by CHEVAL for the first time, please read the information in this user manual to avoid missing anything important. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us.

Important!

• Never store the battery or power bank at room temperature below 5° to prevent the battery from losing power.
• Don’t bend the system across the lights. Doing so can cause the lights or the connections to break.
• Use only your specific system’s battery/ power bank and charger.
• Attach the system properly to the horse so it doesn’t fall off.
• Make sure the horse is supervised during the treatment.
• Always turn the system off after every five minutes of treatment. Increasing the treatment time or not turning off the system between treatments can cause the lights to break. Never lay anything on top. e.g., a blanket), and never use the system in di of the temperature sunlight or at too high a t of the system (temperature.

Before first use

1. Take the battery from the pack and place it in the system’s pocket.
2. If your battery model has a switch, connect it to the battery.
3. Attach the system’s power cable to the battery.
4. The system is ready to be used.

How to charge the battery

1. Disconnect the power cable.
2. Take the battery out of the system’s pocket.
3. Connect the charger to the battery. Depending on your specific battery model, you might need to turn the battery ON during charging. Otherwise, it will not charge.
4. The battery will indicate when it’s fully charged.

How to use the system

1. You can use the system every day, up to three times per day and area. The treatment time is 5 min per area.
2. Make sure the horse’s area is dry and clean. If necessary, dry it with a towel. If the fur is wet, the water can absorb the waves and decrease the effect.
3. Attach the system to the horse and turn the battery ON.
4. Let the system be on for 5-10 min. Don’t leave the horse unattended during the treatment.
5. After the treatment time, turn the battery off before you move the system or take it off the horse.

How to clean the system

All materials are easy to clean. Use a slightly damp cloth or sponge to wipe off the fabrics and the lights.

To remove any hair and fur, use a lint roller.

The outer cover of the Wrap108 can be machine washed at 40° (no dryer). However, don’t wash the lights in the machine.

Treatment plans

Here are examples of different treatment plans. Remember that these are only examples; every horse and condition is different, and the treatment plan may differ. You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions.

Pre-training

Treatment prior to training gives your horse the best conditions for performance by increasing blood circulation, reducing tension or stiffness, improving movability, and lowering the risk of injuries and inflammation.

The treatment eases your horse’s recovery by reducing muscle acidosis and lowering the risk of overstrain and muscle soreness.

Treatment plan: 5-10 min per area before training.

On rest days/ ”SPA-days”/rehabilitation

Treatment on rest days, spa days, or during rehabilitation will help your horse stay sound by increasing blood circulation and preventing swelling and stiffness.

Treatment plan: 5-10 minutes per area.

Tendon injury

Start the treatment as early as possible to improve the recovery process.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes 2-3 times a day until the injury is healed and after that, once daily to prevent the injury from occurring again.

Arthritis (joint inflammation)

The LED Treatment System uses low-level laser energy to stimulate healing and reduce inflammation in the affected joint. Applying laser energy encourages the production of cellular energy (ATP), increases blood flow, and reduces inflammation – scientifically proven.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes 2-3 times a day until the inflammation is gone.

Muscle inflammation

The treatment effectively stops the inflammatory process and reduces inflammatory cells.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes 2-3 times daily until the inflammation is gone.

Mud-fever

Work against mud fever and prevent the spreading of bacteria.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes once a day.

Swollen morning legs

Insufficient blood flow can often cause swollen legs in the morning. Treatment will increase blood circulation and prevent swelling.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes once a day.

Back pain and kissing spines

The treatment prevents and treats back pain and stiffness. It’s also beneficial for horses with kissing spines.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes once a day, especially before any training.

Wounds

The treatment speeds up the healing process and prevents infections.

Treatment plan: 5 minutes three times within 24 hours, thereafter once a day.

Troubleshooting

Our LED Treatment Systems consists of both infrared and red lights. Infrared light is outside the visible spectrum, so we can’t see it – even if it’s on.

All lights are connected in the system, which means that if one lamp breaks, all the following will turn off. This way, you can ensure that all lamps work, even if you can’t see the infrared light.
